Anybody really wants to be able to find cheap moving boxes, but they are not always available easily. Anyone has been to a retail store and asked if they have a spare boxes, and while those are free, they are also either smaller not high quality. It is best to get new moving boxes because they have not been used and have not been damaged by any heavy items. If you're going to try to find moving boxes that are affordable, you're going to have to do a little bit of research and look around a little bit before finally deciding on where you want to purchase you boxes. Moving is stressful enough as it is, there is no reason to make it more difficult than it needs to be.
Perhaps the most difficult part of find boxes before you move is finding ones that are not damaged and are affordable. You can find plenty of cheap boxes, but many of them have been damaged or simply made of cheap cardboard. You're going to need to pay attention to the boxes before you purchase them, else you could be regretting it later. For instance you do not want to put your nice china already other breakables in a box that could possibly break while you are moving. So while you are looking for your boxes, you need to pay close attention to a certain factor that every retailer selling boxes should tell you: the ECT rating.
The ECT rating tells you how much way to box can hold. Its exact meaning is the edge crush test, which is what manufacturers put them through before selling them. The edge crush test is just as it sounds: a test that checks how much way it takes to press the edges of the box, which affects on how much weight the box can actually hold. So, depending on the weight of items the returning the but the boxes, you're going to need to pay close attention to the amount that the ECT rating tells you.
Usually the manufacturer recommended ECT rating is 32. 32 ECT can hold most household items. However, they may not be able to hold some appliances or other heavy items such as books. Also you may not need 32 ECT boxes if you are trying to pack lighter items, such as clothes. So be sure that you pick up boxes that you know will be able to hold items that you need to move, but also be sure that you do not pick up boxes that are to durable what you need because they can be more expensive. Remember, the point here is to get boxes as cheaply as possible, so there is no reason to pay more than you need to.
Why would you pick up the boxes that you need from stores for free when you ask are usually low quality have been used multiple times. You want to be able to find boxes that will last you more than once, and there is no risk of them breaking while you are moving. Getting yourself some cheap moving boxes is a much better alternative to picking them up for your store.
